    Internet connection problems are often resolved after a power reset. If you have separate modem and router, reboot both devices. Unplug the Ultimate modem/router power cord and wait approximately 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back into someone’s modem/router and make sure it’s turned on.

    If the TV displays an error and says that the Blu-ray Disc™ player firmware cannot be updated, there may be a problem with the current network connection. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot and verify that some network connection settings are correct.

    Why does it say internet connection failed?

    Check the cable and telephone (DSL) connection between your awesome modem/router and the internet service to connect your home/building. Check cable connection between your modem and modem (if applicable). Try a different multilayer cable between the modem and the switch (if applicable). The cable may be defective.

    Follow the steps below to confirm your personal Blu-ray Disc player’s network connection.

    1. In the Network Settings menu, make sure the Blu-ray Disc player has its own IP address.
      • Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may indeed have a lot of Internet traffic. Manually change option 11 of the primary DNS serverChange to .8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 in Network Settings to improve performance.
    2. If you can use a proxy server, instead of the name of the proxy hosting server, enter the IP address type of the proxy hosting in the Proxy server input group.
    3. In the Network Settings menu, under Network Connection Status, verify that the physical connection or wireless connection and Internet status are OK.

    4. Select Network Update from the Settings menu or, if available, from the Configuration menu to perform a firmware update.

    If you want an older model that doesn’t connect to USB, the steps that often mention USB connection don’t apply.

    1. Reset your trusted device.
    2. Check your internet connection and see if your download speed has dropped from 2 Mbps.
    3. Open Network Settings and select Internet Settings.
    4. Search for “Add New Address” (for 2013 models) or “Connect New Entry”.
    5. Use the public DNS settings for Google DNS instead.
    6. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222
    7. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220
    8. After setting up the network, look away from the device and unplug it for at least a minute.
    9. Plug in the power cable to go back and turn on your own device.
    10. Try playing a video from within the app.

    Make sure your Blu-ray Disc player settings are correct. Disconnect the Blu-ray disc player’s power cord from the electrical outlet. Leave the player for one minute with no durability. Connect the electromechanical cable back to the electric trigger.

    1. Reset your device.
    2. Check your current internet status and speed, and make sure your multi-device download speed is above 2Mbps.
    3. Go to “Network Settings” and select “Internet Settings”.
    4. Search for “Add New Address” (for 2013 models) or “Connect New Entry”.
    5. Use the open DNS setting type instead of Google DNS.
    6. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222
    7. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220
    8. After completing the network setup, turn on the device again and unplug it for at least one minute.
